The Workshop of Heating – Cooling – Air Conditioning serves the needs of the classes:
- Heating-Refrigeration-Air Conditioning I
- Heating-Refrigeration-Air II
The Workshop of Heating – Refrigeration – Air Conditioning, deals primarily with heating and air conditioning and to a lesser extent with Refrigeration as there is no specific Refrigeration class by the Ministry of Education. This gap is covered by a special optional course.
Students of the 5th semester who are bein teached Heating (majorly), learn to elaborate studies related to central heating. This is equipped with various devices and instruments. It has a boiler and an air heater where students are taught and learn how to make various measurements using the BRIGON device, associated to the efficiency, the exhaust gas temperature, soot, pressure, etc. There is also an exhaust gas analyzer with the help of which, all the measurements are done electronically, while another device allows students to cut and affix plastic tubes.
For laboratory course of H.C.A/C II, there are laboratory units called pilots, which help students to learn about refrigerating arrangement, refrigeration cycle and how to calculate the cooling capacity of a facility.
There is a fully independent Air Conditioning Unit which is connected to the computer. With their intervention, the students see the various changes to any statutory changes, and enables them to measure air flow in m3/h or m3/s, with four different methods
